These two project descriptions are connected to the same overall project but have been separated out into a technical and non-technical project. The overall project is connected to introducing a social sharing feature into our individual mobile application for both our individual and enterprise clients.

This project is best suited to be done with an instructor supervisor to support the students in completing the project and working within our preexisting larger platform. The ideal timeline for this project is to begin in Q2. 

Our current platform that helps individuals and teams consistently improve and achieve their performance and wellness potential. We accomplish this through enabling users to define and track goals and define habits that enable them to more effectively accomplish their stated goals. For individuals we deliver this service through a mobile app and for teams it is provided through a combination of our mobile app and an enterprise web portal. 

The sharing feature would enable individual users to create shared goals with one another, and/or to assign another user to help foster accountability/provide support and encouragement for your goals and habits. 

The related technical project would include both a Quality Assurance component and Full-Stack Development component. 

• Quality Assurance

  • This role is responsible for ensuring the technical solution developed works as intended and users using the new feature will be able to make use of the feature directly from the release date. Specific tasks of this role include: 

    • Writing unit, integration and end-to-end tests for a backend platform 

    • Writing automated tests for a front-end platform and/or building testing procedures for user applications 

• Full Stack Web Development

  • This role is responsible for creating the technical design of the sharing functionality and developing the sharing functionality backend and frontend (mobile). The specific UI and UX design of the feature will be designed prior to the start of this project but the technical design will not be. Specific tasks connected to this role include:

    • Designing a technical solution to deliver the defined feature

    • Developing backend support (database tables, API and business logic) as defined in the technical solution using Typescript and a MySQL database.

    • Developing the mobile app feature functionality using Flutter. 

The related marketing project includes a single role.

• Digital Marketing Strategy + Execution

  • Developing improved and data supported customer personas     

  • Developing / building on existing marketing strategy to target specific customer audiences 

  • Learning from existing marketing campaign data to improve and refine messaging

  • Identify the specific personas that this new feature is most relevant for and target messaging and campaigns towards those individuals 

  • Work within the marketing budget allocated for the project (may provide multiple budget levels to plan for)
