We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Warehouse Supervisor to lead our operations in Richmond. The successful candidate will oversee and coordinate all daily activities within the warehouse, ensuring smooth and efficient processes. Key responsibilities include managing the warehouse staff, optimizing space utilization, handling inventory management, and ensuring the accurate division of products for delivery across our 7 stores in the Metro Vancouver area.

In addition to overseeing the receiving of orders and unloading containers, the Warehouse Supervisor will also be responsible for driving deliveries, requiring a valid Class 5 driver’s license. This role demands strong organizational skills, as you will be handling the warehouse inventory system and coordinating the timely dispatch of goods.

Duties:

Optimize warehouse efficiency by establishing and following best practices for space utilization, product flow, and inventory management.

Work closely with sales, logistics, and other departments to ensure customer orders are fulfilled accurately and on time.

Develop a cohesive team environment by providing training, mentorship, and leadership to warehouse staff.

Maintain accurate inventory records, conduct regular stock audits, and prevent discrepancies through effective tracking and reporting.

Efficiently manage inventory using WMS tools like Square and Shopify, ensuring accurate data entry and tracking.

Enforce safety procedures and regulations to ensure a safe, organized, and clean warehouse environment.

Supervise and participate in unloading shipments, ensuring that all merchandise is received, inspected, and documented correctly.

Design and maintain an organized warehouse layout that optimizes space utilization and supports efficient product rotation.

Operate the company truck to deliver products to 7 stores across the Metro Vancouver area, ensuring timely and safe deliveries. A valid Class 5 driver’s license is required.

Work closely with the logistics manager to schedule and execute deliveries, ensuring seamless coordination between the warehouse and the stores.

Assist in setting up new stores, including organizing and delivering inventory and supporting other logistical needs.

Prepare boxes or pallets for shipment to customers or Amazon, ensuring proper packing, labeling, and documentation.

Implement and oversee the shipping and receiving procedures, including unloading containers, counting and verifying inventory, and ensuring proper storage and documentation.

Communicate with store staff to arrange deliveries, verify labelling, and handle any product transfers between locations.

For large custom orders, ensure correct labelling, invoice verification, and proper documentation handling during delivery.

Requirements

Demonstrated experience in warehouse management or a similar role, ideally in a retail environment.

Strong leadership abilities with a track record of effectively managing and motivating a team.

Excellent organizational abilities and the capacity to manage time effectively, even in a fast-paced and changing environment.

Proficiency in Chinese is required, as most communication with clients and stakeholders will be conducted in Chinese. Bilingual proficiency is a plus.

A valid Class 5 driver’s license is mandatory for handling deliveries.

Must be available to work at least three days a week, with 8-hour shifts.

The role involves physical tasks, so candidates must be capable of lifting up to 25 kg and performing duties that require physical stamina.

Strong proficiency in office tools like Excel for data management and reporting.
