Rolla Welcome Team Part time - Job Description
Here at Rolla Skate Club, we know that strapping on a pair of rollerskates is guaranteed to make people smile. But we’re going deeper than that: our goal is to build an empowered community of strong skaters and help people celebrate what their bodies can do.
We are looking for an energetic and friendly customer service folk to join our awesome Rolla Welcome Team.
Location of work: Rollerland Building - PNE Vancouver Responsibilities:
● First Face of Rolla: As the initial point of contact, you'll be stationed at the Welcome Desk, greeting members and visitors, answering questions, and providing skates and gear. Your commitment to ensuring a positive member experience from the moment they arrive is key to your success.
● Responsive Communication: Answer customer inquiries promptly and professionally via email and / or in person. Provide accurate information about products, services, and company policies.
● Engagement Strategies: Implement effective communication strategies to enhance customer engagement, as well as drive membership and event sales.
● Efficient Issue Resolution: Handle customer issues and complaints with empathy and efficiency, ensuring a positive resolution.
● Facility Maintenance: Contribute to maintaining a clean and welcoming facility, organize inventory efficiently, and ensure the safety of skates and gear.
You are:
● Welcoming and enthusiastic. Makes everyone feel welcome and part of the Rolla Skate Club Family. Listens and responds appropriately and accurately to questions and requests.
● Able to communicate confidently in a way that is in line with Rolla voice and values (see below). Understands the mission of Rolla Skate Club to build a bad-ass community of strong skaters. Communicates with an enthusiastic, helpful and welcoming voice.
● Flexible/adaptable. Adjusts quickly to changing priorities and operations. Copes effectively with complexity and change. We are a new business and things change quickly around here!
● Have basic technical abilities. This role is mostly focused on in-person communications however you must have basic computer skills and be willing to learn new software and troubleshoot if needed.
● Accurate. Understands the importance of communicating the correct/most up to date information. Checks How To and SOP documents regularly and attends department meetings.
● Has high standards. Expects personal performance and team performance to be nothing short of the best. Is part of the team by helping us all uphold these standards.
● Strong persuasion/sales skills. Able to talk with passion about Rolla. Able to persuade others to see the vision and want to be part of it eg. signing up for a membership, coming to an event.
Terms of employment: Full Time hourly - Temporary
Compensation & Benefits:
● $17.50/hr - 14 - 20 hrs per week ( Mondays & Saturdays)

Working Hours:
● Weekdays: 1 day a week - 5:30 PM - 10:30 PM
● Weekend: Saturday - 9:30 AM - 4 PM
● Location: Rollerland at the PNE Start: October, 2024
